Race Information
Entry
Entry is by pre-registration and pre-paid only, and will close at 17:00 on the Thursday prior to each race. Please complete a separate entry form if you are riding a second bike.
Cost
£8.50 for novices and experts. Entry fees are payable upon submission of your entry. If you're riding two bikes (20" and cruiser"), it is £5.00 for your second bike.
Classes
For those of you new to BMX racing, we race in 2 classes, Novice and Expert. If you've not raced before, you'll go into the novice class for the first year of racing.
Age Groups
Riders race in the age category that they will be at the end of next year. For example, if you are currently 10yrs old, but will turn 11 in 2022, you will race in the 11yrs age category. Age groups will be merged for the winter series.
Points / Prizes
Points are awarded for your position in each race, and the best 3 races will count towards to overall series points winners in each category. Riders require to ride 3 out of 4 races to get a trophy / podium medal. Participation medals will be awarded to all riders riding at least 2 rounds and finishing outside the podium.
Plate no.
The entry form will ask you for your plate number. If you've ridden before, you'll probably already have a race plate. If not, don't worry. Just leave that part of the form blank. New plates with random numbers will be available to purchase for £5 that will last for the full series and until you move up to expert and have a set number.
Transponders
We won't be running transponders for the first race, but hope to have our kit in place at some point over the series. Look out for announcements
Covid-19 Measures
- Riders must not attend if they should be in self-isolation
- Riders must not attend if they have any symptoms of Covid-19
- There will be a number of Covid measures in place. Please follow the guidance of the volunteers on the day.
