Scottish Regional Series 2022
This years Scottish Regional BMX series will be held over 6 rounds:

Entry is be pre-registration only, and will close at 17:00 on the Thursday prior to each race. Enter each race by completing the entry form at the bottom of this page. Each race will be available for entry after the completion of the previous race. Please complete a separate entry form if you are riding a second bike.
Costs for this year are £12.50 for novices and experts. Entry fee's are payable online only, the entry form will take you to the payment page. If you're riding two bikes (20" and cruiser"), its £7.50 for your second bike.
For those of you new to BMX racing, we race in 2 classes, Novice and Expert. If you've not raced before, you'll go into the novice class for the first year of racing.
Riders race in the age category that they will be at the end of the year. For example, if you are currently 10yrs old, but will turn 11 in 2022, you will race in the 11yrs age category.
The entry form will ask you for your plate number. If you've ridden before, you'll probably already have a race plate. If not, don't worry. You can buy a race plate on race day for £5, and you'll get given a number for that race. This plate and number will do you for the whole series, so just enter your new number on the form below for future races.
Side plates are not required for the Regional Series
Round 3 - Combined North Region / Scottish Region race
Round 3 will be, for the first time, a combined inter-regional race with the North Region. Entry for this race will be via the British Cycling page, for which a link will be given nearer the time. Entry will still be £12.50 and £7.50 for your second bike, and series points gained at this race will be applied to both the North Regional Series and Scottish Regional Series. The schedule on the day will replicate a normal North Region race due to increased rider numbers, and will be posted nearer the time, with racing likely to start nearer 12:00 noon.
Transponders will be required for all experts at each Cumbernauld race this year. Transponders are available to hire from the Centurions at a cost of £5 per race with a £20 deposit. They are also available to buy directly from Mylaps (https://speedhiveshop.mylaps.com/active-sports/prochip-flex.html) at £57 with a 2yr subscription, or the Centurions have a supply available at £55 with a 2yr subscription.
Transponders are not required for novices.
- Riders must not attend if they should be in self-isolation
- Riders must not attend if they have any symptoms of Covid-19
- There may be a number of Covid measures in place at each track. Please follow the guidance of the volunteers on the day.
Series points will be awarded for the best 5 rounds out of 6 to decide final standings at the end of the series. To qualify for a trophy, 5 rounds must have been ridden.
Those riders who ride in the expert classes will be eligible to compete in this years British Championships if they compete in 5 of this years 6 regional races. For those of you wishing to ride cruiser and 20" at the Brits, your second bike has to have been ridden in 2 rounds, and through all moto's of each round.
