Racing 13:00 - approx. 15:00
Entry is be pre-registration only, and will close at 17:00 on the Thursday prior to each race. Enter each race by completing the entry form at the bottom of this page. Each race will be available for entry after the completion of the previous race. Please complete a separate entry form if you are riding a second bike.
We have reduced the costs for this year only to £10 for novices and experts. Entry fee's are payable on the day by cash (correct money only) or payment card (at Cumbernauld Only). If you're riding two bikes (20" and cruiser"), its £5 for your second bike.
For those of you new to BMX racing, we race in 2 classes, Novice and Expert. If you've not raced before, you'll go into the novice class for the first year of racing.
Riders race in the age category that they will be at the end of the year. For example, if you are currently 10yrs old, but will turn 11 in 2021, you will race in the 11yrs age category.
The entry form will ask you for your plate number. If you've ridden before, you'll probably already have a race plate. If not, don't worry. Just leave that part of the form blank and we'll give you a temporary plate for the race.
- Riders must not attend if they should be in self-isolation
- Riders must not attend if they have any symptoms of Covid-19
- There will be a number of Covid measures in place at each track. Please follow the guidance of the volunteers on the day.
For both tracks, you will be allocated a 2mx2m "pod" to base yourself for the day. Current Scottish Cycling guidance specifies that "spectators are NOT allowed at this stage other than a Parent/Guardian or coach. Parents/guardians/coaches attending the event with a rider should not congregate and should remain in designated areas as directed". Parents/guardians/coaches are asked to remain in there designated space for the duration of the time at the track. Whilst every effort is taken to ensure that each pod has a view of the track, some will have a better view than others. Please remember we are here to let the riders get back to racing, and the congregation of parents/guardians or coaches at prime viewing points will only risk the cancellation of future races. Measures may be relaxed as the season progresses, in line with any current government and national governing body advice.
2m x 2m "pod"
The entry form will ask you to name the people who will be in your pod for the day. This is to assist with track and trace measures. If you are sharing with another rider and their parent/guardian, please indicate this on the form.
Series points will be awarded for the best 3 rounds out of 4 to decide final standings at the end of the series. Due to the reduced rounds this year, medals will be awarded rather than trophies.
Those riders who ride in the expert classes will be eligible to compete in this years British Championships if they compete in 2 of this years 4 regional races. For those of you wishing to ride cruiser and 20" at the Brits, both bikes have to be ridden in 2 rounds, and through all moto's of each round.
